After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:1: Differentiate between premenstrual disorders on the basis of distinct patterns of symptoms.2: Identify neurologic and psychologic changes in women with premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).3: Provide interventions to alleviate symptoms of PMS and PMDD.4: Screen for psychiatric disorders in perinatal and postpartum women.5: Prevent depression and its recurrence during and after pregnancy.
